Setup Outlook 2007
How to set up your IMAP account in Outlook
2. Click “Tools” then click Account Settings.
(Note: If you have not set up Outlook before, you may be asked to go through the wizard. In this case just click “Cancel" or "No.”)
3. Click the "New" button.
4. Choose “Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP” and click "Next."
5. Fill out the screen entirely, check the box that says "Manually configure server settings or additional server types," and click "Next."
6. Check the "Internet E-mail" radio button and click "Next."
7. Fill out the remaining fields on the screen. Change "Account Type" to IMAP. The incoming mail server is "mail.neteasyinc.com" and the Outgoing mail server is "smtp.neteasyinc.com." The user name is your full e-mail address. When you've completed the form, click the "More Settings" button.
8. Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab and check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Click on the Advanced tab. Change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port to 587 and click "OK" then "Next" then "Finish." (To understand the importance of using port 587, see the information here.)
Your Email is now downloaded to the mail.neteasyinc.com inbox folder, and all folders inside your inbox will be synchronized with your webmail and any other email application you set up.
